I’m dedicating my Senior Exit Project to my Mom. 3 years ago she had contracted an extremely rare condition named Guillain-Barré syndrome. I watched this Illness bring my mom from an athletic woman to bedridden within a month. Seeing my mom endure such a great amount of pain and discomfort in normal day to day life and still being a player in this game of life set such a higher bar to me on what being resilient means. My Mom had made me lose any fear what obstacle or set back looks to hurt me in life, nor do I believe I have the right to act sad when I’m sick or cry when I’m hurt because a much more fragile woman has endured much more than me. She’s truly an inspiration to me to excel and blast through every obstacle in life!
